For the first time in a very long time, felt comfortable.enough to drive out of state and to be honest it was a nice change of scenery. After two years being in the home, the long drive and new faces and seeing the difference and similarities in another state was refreshing. Everyone in Massachusetts seemed much more serious about keeping masks on than what I've seen in CT. The school situation continues to be scary as I have 5 children in 4 different schools and the rise in cases continues to increase. Covid has added so much more stress to our daily lives. Maintaining a positive attitude can sometimes be challenging as so many lives are being negatively affected by this disease.

The simple incidental things bring me happiness these days. Sunny days and starry nights, my dogs wagging their tails and staying close to me and the walk to the garden to harvest Swiss chard and green onions for simple dinners make me happy. A telephone conversation or text with a friend also adds to my happiness. Hearing the mule and donkeys greet me as I approach, the dogs howling at night, and being at home with my husband bring me happiness. Knowing we are well, safe, and together with all we need makes me happy and grateful during these uncertain times.
